About the Glen Waverley District

The District of Glen Waverley spans from Ferntree Gully Road and the Monash Freeway in the South to Canterbury Road in the North, and across from Blackburn Road to Dandenong Creek and Eastlink.

These boundaries include the entire suburbs of Glen Waverley and Vermont South, plus parts of Blackburn South, Forest Hill, Burwood East, Vermont and Wheelers Hill.

Home to more than 80,000 people, the Glen Waverley District is a melting pot of cultures and languages from all corners of the globe. In fact, more than half of all residents in the District speak a language other than English.

We have terrific access to public transport, including both Syndal and Glen Waverley Train Stations, the Route 75 tram and the 902 and 703 SmartBus services.

The District is well served by terrific local shops at Vermont South, Brentford Square, Forest Hill Chase, Kingsway and The Glen.

Our community is home to worldclass schools, a Holmesglen TAFE Campus and direct transport connections to Monash and Deakin Universities – making the Glen Waverley District an attractive option for local families and young people.

We’re lucky to have terrific green spaces at our doorstep, too, including the Healesville Freeway Reserve, Bellbird Dell Reserve, Jells Park and Dandenong Creek – plus great public golf courses, too.
